BLOG

Hi To All My Best Friend May Happiness With You Ever And Ever
..........................................................

This is Robin Beck here from Blog Action Day central, and I want to thank Rick and the Blogger team for helping support Blog Action Day 2009.

For those of you who don’t know, Blog Action Day is an annual event held every October 15th where bloggers across the world unite to write about a single issue on a single day.  We like to think of it as one big blogfest for good, and our goal is to spark conversation on an issue of importance across the web.

This year’s topic is climate change, and we’ve thus far had more than 4,000 bloggers from 123 countries register, including many of the world’s largest blogs.

Our aim is to make Blog Action Day 2009 the largest social change event on the web as a demonstration of global concern about the climate crisis. To achieve this, we want to invite the entire Blogger community to get involved and commit to writing a single post about climate change on your blog on October 15th.

You can register your blog here.

In addition to joining thousands of other bloggers, you’ll also be supporting the work of the dozens of leading nonprofits who are also participating – including Oxfam, 350.org, The Nature Conservancy, Greenpeace, The United Nations Foundation, and more than forty organizations affiliated with the TckTckTck campaign.

You can learn more about the issue of climate change and see sample topics you might write about at www.blogactionday.org.  There you can also find additional ways to get involved by taking action with leading nonprofits and posting a snazzy widget to your blog.

Thanks so much for your support – we hope to have you all as part of the event!

What is Google?

Via John Battelle, Rick Skrenta’s remarkable piece on what Google have actually built. They don’t just have the world’s best search engine, they have the world’s largest and most scalable platform for developing huge web-based applications.

Google has taken the last 10 years of systems software research out of university labs, and built their own proprietary, production quality system. What is this platform that Google is building? It’s a distributed computing platform that can manage web-scale datasets on 100,000 node server clusters. It includes a petabyte, distributed, fault tolerant filesystem, distributed RPC code, probably network shared memory and process migration. And a datacenter management system which lets a handful of ops engineers effectively run 100,000 servers. Any of these projects could be the sole focus of a startup.

While competitors are targeting the individual applications Google has deployed, Google is building a massive, general purpose computing platform for web-scale programming

Bamboo Green Concept Phone

The Bamboo phone is the newest innovation in biodegradable products. One the battery, antenna, and print board are taken off, the remains can then be placed in compos and they will begin to disintegrate in only a few weeks! That is not all… there are actually bamboo seeds within the case that, once release by the disintegrating case, will start to grow and feed on the case. The Bamboo phone literally becomes bamboo in a few months.
The Bamboo phone is made out of two materials: the bio-plastic made of materials such as corn, and the bamboo, an endlessly renewable resource. As bamboo is harvested, there is no need to replant. Each time a shoot of bamboo is cut, a new shoot grows in its place.

Asus Aura Phone Concept

Asus Aura Phone Concept
This is Aura concept phone designed by Egy Studio for Asus.
Some people said the phone is inspire by the Apple iPhone, may be.
Apple iPhone is really attractive and i like it but actually those technology used by iPhone are not new.
For example, the so called Accelerometer sensor, you can find similar feature in Sharp’s (911SH.) The Asus Aura concept does more then iPhone.

It supports 3G,

EDGE,

HSDPA and WiFi.

It has a 3.9-inch touchscreen,

a 2Megapixel camera,

Bluetooth 2.0,

a microSD slot,

miniUSB.

THere is also a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The Aura is as thin as 6mm.

Personal control
If people gain control of their own personal data mines, rather than allowing them to be built and held by corporations, they could use them not only to prove who they are but also to inform smart recommendation systems, Pent land says.

He recognizes that allowing even limited access to detailed logs of your actions may seem scary. But he argues it is safer than relying on key-like codes and numbers, which are vulnerable to theft or forgery.

"It is not feasible for a single organization to own all this rich identity information," Pent land says. What he envisages instead is the creation of a central body, supported by a combination of cell phone networks, banks and government bodies.

That bank could provide "slices" of data to third parties that want to check a person's identity. That information could be much like that required to verify high-level security clearance in government, says pent land.
